The club's preferred charity

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is the club's preferred charity and we will look to support them where we can.

On the rare occasions that we do have to call for an ambulance it is not uncommon for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance to be seen hovering overhead.

Whilst this may sometimes seem dramatic the air ambulance is a core asset available to the East Midlands Ambulance Service and is often sent to sports grounds rather than a road ambulance because of the obvious ease with which a helicopter can land at these venues. The benefit to those playing at Willingham Road is that any hospital transfer is conducted more quickly (about 5 minutes by air to Lincoln County Hospital) and smoothly than by road.

Operational management, together with medical staff and most of the medical equipment, are provided by East Midlands Ambulance Service. However unlike road ambulances the "ambucopter" does not belong to them. The aircraft, its maintenance and aircrew are all funded by the community through the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust at a cost of approximately £1,500,000 a year.
